Sandy (Ravenclaw)
Monkey (Slytherin)
Tripitaka (Hufflepuff)
Piggsy (Gryffindor)
In my mind Monkey is definitely Slytherin, not Griffindor, because every time he rushes in to save the day he’s doing it to show off how great he is; he’s not motivated by trying to help.
Piggsy, who might seem like the surer Slytherin bet at first glance, only really cares about himself as far as vanity goes rather than genuine pride, and is only really ambitious insofar as it’ll help him get ladies. He’s the one that usually gets the group in trouble because of his tendency to rush in to save damsels.
And, Sandy and Tripitaka are easy picks.

“In my mind Monkey is definitely Slytherin, not Griffindor, because every time he rushes in to save the day he’s doing it to show off how great he is; he’s not motivated by trying to help.”
TOM. TOM.
DID YOU FORGET THAT PRETENDING TO BE MORAL IS PART OF BEING GRIFFINDOR.
Remember how in every book the fucking Griffindor kids would LYNCH some Slytherin that they suspected was evil but they were always always wrong.
Being an asshole and thinking you’re not is a Griffindor trait.

Oh no he doesn’t pretend to be moral, though. He is always like “hahaha looks like these idiots got themselves in trouble! You know, I bet I could save them without even breaking a sweat!”
Like, he’s explicitly doing it to show off, not a subtext. And it’s almost always situations where he could easily have intervened earlier but he just doesn’t bother because he makes no pretense of caring. If there’s no personal showing-off involved he’ll just avoid helping until Tripitaka forces him to.
